About Krakow
Krakow (Cracow) is one of the oldest and largest cities in Poland. The City is situated on the Wisla (Vistula) river, in southern Poland. The history of Krakow dates back to the 7th century. From the very beginning Krakow was a cultural, scientific and economic center of Poland. The Royal Castle on the Wawel Hill was a residence of Polish Kings until the end of 16th when Capital of Poland was moved from Krakow to Warsaw. Despite this fact Krakow remained cultural and intellectual center of Poland. Nowadays Krakow is the most popular tourist destination in Poland which is visited by more than 7 millions tourists every year.
