Becouse there are many things to see it's necessary to leave Krakow in the early morning. In our opinion 7:00AM is the best time to begin the tour. Our English speaking chauffeur will pick You up directly from Your accommodation or another place if You wish. First He will drive You to Auschwitz. It takes around 1 hour to get there from the center of Krakow. In Auschwitz there are two camps: Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II - Birkenau.
You have two options to see both camps. First You can buy tickets (85PLN per person) and join the Auswitch tour with local English speaking guide. In first camp tour with him lasts approximately 2 hours. Next our chauffeur will drive You (5 minutes) to the second camp - Birkenau where You will meet Your guide again. In Birkenau guide usually stay no longer than one hour.
Another option is visiting both camps on Your own with our help. Entry to both camps is free of charge. Our chauffeur will show You the way and explain what You shouldn't miss. Most of the necessary info You will get from plaques which are often placed on the tourist route. Apart from information in Polish, English and Hebrew languages, there are also historical photographs and drawings. When Your tour around both camps will be completed we will drive You to Wieliczka where Salt Mine is located. It takes a little bit more than drive to Krakow becouse Wieliczka is situated on another side of city. Fortunately there is a motorway bypass so You will avoid all traffic jams which usually occur at this time.
Before entry to Salt Mine You can have break for a lunch. There is a very nice restaurant next to the Salt Mine where they serve delicious dishes. Entry to the Salt Mine is possible with local guide only. Regular ticket with English speaking one costs 109PLN per person. Underground tour with English speaking guide lasts usually 2 hours. You will walk down almost all the time so it is not tiring at all. The temperature in the Salt Mine, though constant, even in summer is low (14oC i.e. 57.2F). After Underground Tour You will return to the surface with a special mining lift. Our driver will be waiting for You at the only exit from the Salt Mine. He will take You back directly to Your accomodation to Krakow or wherever You wish!
