The core route runs from Warsaw south to Krakow, then west to Wrocław and Poznań before turning north through Toruń to Gdańsk and Malbork. It gives you a clear cross-section of Poland — capital-city history, royal Krakow, Lower Silesia, Greater Poland, Gothic Toruń and the Baltic coast — while still leaving room for selected stops between the main cities.

Sample one-week itinerary
Warsaw → Krakow → Wrocław → Poznań → Toruń → Gdańsk → Malbork → Warsaw.
This is a suggested flow rather than a fixed package. Exact sightseeing times and optional stops are adjusted to your group, season and entry times at any ticketed attractions.
Day 2 · Krakow & surroundings
Spend the day around Krakow’s Old Town and Wawel, then choose how much you want to add. Wieliczka Salt Mine works well as a half-day extension, while Auschwitz-Birkenau, Wadowice or Zakopane are better treated as major additions or an extra day.
Day 3 · Krakow → Wrocław
Leave Krakow for Wrocław. Depending on what you skipped the previous day, the journey can include Auschwitz-Birkenau or Wadowice before continuing west. Arrive with time for an evening walk around Wrocław’s Market Square and historic centre.
Day 4 · Wrocław → Poznań
Use the morning for Wrocław highlights before continuing to Poznań. The day can focus on both historic centres, with a comfortable private transfer between them and flexibility for photo or meal stops along the route.
Day 5 · Poznań → Toruń → Gdańsk
Travel from Poznań to Toruń for the medieval Old Town, Copernicus heritage and gingerbread traditions. Continue later to Gdańsk, making this one of the longer but most varied travel days of the week.
Day 6 · Gdańsk & Baltic coast
Explore Gdańsk Old Town, the Motława waterfront and the city’s maritime history. Sopot, Westerplatte or Oliwa can be added depending on your interests and how relaxed you want the day to feel.
Day 7 · Gdańsk → Malbork → Warsaw
Leave the coast for Malbork Castle, then continue south to Warsaw. This makes the castle a natural final major sight before the tour closes back in the capital. With more time, the route can be extended toward the Elbląg Canal region before returning to Warsaw.
Want a slower version? Add one or two days for a full Auschwitz-Birkenau visit, Zakopane, more time in Gdańsk, the Eagle Nests Trail or additional sightseeing in Warsaw and Krakow.

Is the 7-day route fixed?
No. It is a practical sample route connecting Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław, Poznań, Toruń, Gdańsk and Malbork. We can extend it or change selected stops.
Can we add Częstochowa or the Eagle Nests Trail?
Yes. Both can work as optional sightseeing stops when travelling between Warsaw and Krakow, depending on the route and how much time you want to spend there.
Can we include Auschwitz-Birkenau or Wieliczka?
Yes. Wieliczka works well around Krakow, while Auschwitz-Birkenau can be planned as a major visit from Krakow or on the westbound leg if the timing is realistic.
Can we add Zakopane?
Yes, but for an approximately one-week Grand Tour we recommend adding an extra day rather than squeezing the Tatra region into an already full travel day.
Can we spend longer in Gdańsk?
Yes. Adding a day gives more time for Gdańsk itself and makes it easier to include Sopot, Westerplatte, Oliwa or a more relaxed Baltic-coast programme.
Can the route start or finish somewhere else?
Yes. Warsaw is the sample start and finish, but the journey can be adapted around your flights, arrival city and final destination.
